Biography
Mr. Sunny Wang is currently the Water Resources Manager for the City of Santa Monica's Department of Public Works, Water Resources Division. Prior to joining the City, he spent 17 years as a engineering consultant, including serving as Brown and Caldwell's Water Technology Leader in Southern California and Senior Process Engineer at Black & Veatch. Sunny holds a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. He has design and implemented numerous conventional and advanced water treatment facilities around the world and over a wide range of applications including desalination and potable reuse. Notable projects he has been involved in include the City of Santa Monica's Well Field Restoration Project (one of the first MTBE potable water treatment facilities in the US), the Initial Expansion of Orange County Water District's Groundwater Replenishment System (largest potable reuse facility in the world), and the Carlsbad Seawater Desalination Plant (largest seawater desalination plant in the Western Hemisphere).
